This makes me laugh, Jill. I used to be embarrassed as well and feel terribly uneasy when someone uses profanity near me. But I’ve slowly allowed them in. I guess it’s all about perception. We use it to express ourselves and if we don’t think of it as bad, it won’t appear that way. Even “straight” words sounded mean if we use it rudely, so profanity is really not to be blamed. Then again, it’s just me. 😉
