The truth is never what it seems. Everyone claims they wanted it but no one is quite ready for it. It’s hardly virtuous, rarely refined and often undeniable.

Embracing the truth is like jumping into a lake and submerging yourself underneath the pressure and discomfort. Eventually, you’ll have to rise because the truth, no matter how satisfying and reassuring, can hurt. Most rather persist in delusion.
