Silence projects strength and authority.

It communicates better when you’ve had enough of what’s going on. When practicality fails to serve its purpose and words become like dried and trodden sand underfoot. Excuses lose their meaning and their validity.

Silence brings about a sense of comfort. Sometimes you tend to say too much. You over-explain yourself, not knowing if it’ll make any difference. When nothing makes you feel good and you’re lost. Your mind is overcrowded with words bubbling over, demanding release. But you can’t give expression to any, so you bolt the door. You stay silent in the black darkness, retreating inward, into the inner solitude of your mind where you find space to be you.

Silence speaks volumes when they don’t recognize, acknowledge, or refuse to understand. It’s the loudest sound there is when words do not adequately express thoughts to deaf ears. It speaks through the hurt when it’s too painful to talk. It lets them know they’ve hurt you, not even sure if they are aware or even care. You no longer want to react, so you withdraw in silence.

When you suffer, you do so in silence. When no one comprehends what you’re going through and should never presume to understand.

You’ve loved without boundaries, but they made you forget you’re magic. Great piece Esther.
Silence is a very smart move. Giving ourselves time to heal. It's unlikely that the people will change and even if they do, it won't be today or tomorrow.
What's the other option - stay in the chaos?
Enjoy the peace of silence. x

Guilty as charged your honour, though as you get older you tend to start speaking your mind at guess what, people don't like it! Then they become all defensive and try and spin it back around. Ha haa. Great piece Esther. Always. J. 🙏☘✨💎🙏💥

But you know deep inside it’s not about finding meaning as much as it is about finding acceptance.
